Three Fundamental Techniques
in Handling People
Image result for dale carnegie

Technique 1: Don't criticize, condemn or complain.
“If you want to gather honey, don’t kick over the beehive.”

Dale Carnegie gave us one very powerful and effective technique in order to handling people. He tells us not to make fun of people and also not to bug about something becasue you dont like the way in which they are doing that you do not like. His quote that is given to us in an a way that is of a simile. In the quote he tells us if we want honey , dont kick over the beehive.Well you might say what does that mean.He is saying if you want (friends) dont push them away from yourself.

Technique 2: Give honest and sincere appreciation

"The big secret in dealing with people"

Dale Carnegie is telling us that in order to having a good talk with certain people you should be as honest as possible to everything and appreciate everything that they bring to the table. In the quote that is given to us he tells us that being honest and appreciative will lead you to being good wth most people whom come across your way.

Technique 3: Arouse in the other person an eager want.
"He who can do this has the whole world with him. He who cannot, walks a lonely way."

In the quote given to us here by Dale he states that the people who show eager in what they want they will have the world with each other. If you dont show eager in meeting new people then you will be the exact opposite. You will be one of those people who will see this world as a dark place.

Final Reflection: From these three funemantals in handling people I learned a lot from them and they give us pretty good advice. The first one is self explanatory. It tells us that in order to have good friends and make friends you should not criticize them for the way they look and what people tell you based on them. The second technique is telling us that being honest and sincere can lead you to a lot .You should also show honesty and sincere appreciation for what people bring to the table. The last technique is pretty hard to understand. He says that the people who are eager to show what they want in meeting new people.

School Break Days

During my break, I didn’t go on a vacation unfortunately but I did have lots of fun because I got lots of sleep and rest getting ready for this semester. I stayed home often through the week and help clean around my house. I also played a lot of video games. I stayed up really late sometimes and woke up late as well. On the weekend I and my cousins and brothers went out to different places like bowling, theatres; eat at restaurants and even to the mall. We went to bowl two times and it was really fun. When we went to the theaters we saw the movie “Point Break”. I also watched almost every Lakers game. Although they aren’t playing well and losing many games I still watch every game because this is Kobe’s last year before he retires

"Six Ways to Make People Like You"
By: Dale Carnegie
1.Become genuinely interested in other people
"Do this and you will be welcome anywhere"
"You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you"
"Ask questions to other people, questions that they would enjoy answering"

Rule 2: Smile
1)”Actions speak louder than words, and a smile says, “I like you. You make me happy .I am glad to see you “
2) “You don’t feel like smiling? Then force yourself to smile”

3) “It creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in a business, and is the countersign (witness or indication) of friends.”

Reflection: Smiling may sound like something very easy to do but at times it can be a very difficult task for some people to do. Some people may have an issue doing this because they are having a difficulty with their personal life. The first quote is telling us  that actions are better than just talking about it but, making it up with a smile makes it a lot better. The second quote is telling us that through anything that you have been put through always try to keep your smile so you can be seen as a positive person. The final quote can be very interesting,it is telling us that in the house it is bringing us happiness and it is also bringing happiness and pride in the friendship for everybody who works here at this place.

Rule 3: Remember Names

1." A man's name is to him the sweetest and most important sound in any language"
2. "If you don't remember names, you are headed for trouble"

Reflection: Remembreing names sounds like a very easy task to do.It can turn out to be a challenge for other people.Remembering names can be easier if you can remeber there face and remember something about them. This is a very important task to do if you would want people to like you.Of course any friend would love if another human being can memorize something very simple. The 1st quote given to us by Dale Carnegie is telling us that a man would be very happy and pleased to say that somebody important to them knows there name.In the last quote he is telling us pretty much that if you dont remeber somebodys name than you are not going to be liked as a friend .

How to remeber names

1.spell out his or her name on a paper

2. repeat there name to yourself quietly

3.figure something out that they have similar to you

4.Be a good listener.Encourage others to talk about themselves.

"If you aspire to be a good conversationalist, be an attentive listener".
"Remeber that the man you are talking to is a hundread times more interested in himself and his wants and his problems than he is in you and your problems".
Reflection:Dale Carnegie gives us two very thruthful quotes on here.In the first quote he is talking to us about how you can make a good conversation with other people. He says other than talking about  a good  conversation that it is also important to listen to what other people say.In the second quote he is telling us that people tend to look for new people in order to talk them about their own personal issues. He is telling us rather than us telling them what is wrong about them.

5.Talk in terms of the other man's interest.
"The royal road to a man's heart is to talk to him about the things he treasures most".

6.Make the other person feel important- and do it sincerely.
"The desire to be important is the deepest urge in human nature"(John Dewey)
"Hoping people feel important and appreciated works magic"
